Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Agreement

By accessing or using the Trakr mobile application and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Trakr (Pty) Ltd.

2. Nature of the Services

Trakr provides a technology platform that connects independent third-party service providers ("Professionals") with users seeking services ("Customers").

Note: Trakr is not a contractor. Professionals are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Trakr.

3. Payments and Escrow System

To protect both parties, Trakr utilizes a mandatory Escrow payment system. Customers pay for the service upon booking, and funds are held by Trakr.

  • Release of Funds: Funds are released to the Professional only when the Customer marks the job as "Complete" in the app.
  • Automatic Release: If a job is marked complete by the Pro and no dispute is raised by the Customer within 48 hours, funds may be released automatically.
  • Service Fees: Trakr charges a platform fee for connecting users, which is deducted from the total project cost.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations affect the livelihood of our Professionals. Our policy is as follows:

  • More than 24 hours notice: Full refund to the Customer.
  • Less than 24 hours notice: A "Call-out Fee" (minimum R150) may be deducted from the refund to compensate the Professional for lost time and travel.
  • No-show: If a Pro does not arrive, the Customer receives a 100% refund.

5. User Conduct

Users must provide accurate information. Fraudulent activity, including bypass attempts (trying to pay a Professional outside of the Trakr app), will result in immediate account termination.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act), Trakr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the work performed by Professionals.

While we vet Pros, we recommend Customers secure valuables and supervise any third-party working on their premises.
